S – Scripture
Jude 1 v. 11 Woe to them! For they walk in the way of Cain, and abandon themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perish in Korah’s rebellion.
O – Observation
Walking in the ways of Cain. Cain was the first murderer. What was Cain’s motive? He was pissed that God like Abel’s sacrifice better. Pride. That’s the Killer. Especially self pride. When it become all about me – DANGER! Proverbs 6 v. 16 lists the things that God hates. Pride is #1. Human nature drives us to boast about things. When we feel boastful, we need to refer to 2 Corinthians 10 v. 17, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
A – Application
Where is my pride? Am I self centered or God centered?
P – Prayer
Jesus help me to boast about you. Love Will
