S - Scripture:

Deuteronomy 7:6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His treasured possession, out of all the peoples on the face of he earth.

O - OBSERVATION: 

These are the inspired words of God given to Moses to share with the children of Israel. These verses ooze with the love God has for His people. We are chosen, reinforced in 1 Peter 2:9. We are His treasured possession. We are so dear to Him He sent His ONLY SON to die on the cross that we might inherit eternal life John 3:16. GOD LOVES HIS PEOPLE!

A - APPLICATION: 

What is our response to this great love?  To love Him with all our heart, with all our soul, and all
our mind, and our neighbor as ourself Matt.22: 27-29. When I think about being chosen, it reminds me of growing up as a 1st grader in a one room school house, and being chosen by my favorite 8th grader to be on his ball team. I played my little 1st grade heart out to prove he made a good choice. I should play my heart out to serve the God who chose me!

P- PRAYER: 

Gracious Father, help all of us, your people to be excited and humbled to be chosen by You to

help further Your Kingdom. In Jesus Name, Amen
