S - SCRIPTURE: Genesis 11:4 Come let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make A NAME for ourselves.
O - OBSERVATION: This a short portion of the story of the tower of Babel found in Genesis 11:1-9. Tomorrow is the Birthday of our nation, The United States of America, we’ll be 246 years
old since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I fear for the future of our country, way too many in our nation’s leadership seem to suffer from the same ailment as those early generations following the flood. It’s all about making A NAME. The problem is, it’s the wrong name!

A - APPLICATION:Philippians 2:9-11 “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him a Name that is above every other Name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow
in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father!” Just think how different our country would look if every knee
would bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! No pride, no making a name for ourselves but bowing before only Jesus as we seek to share His Name with the world. Only He can save our nation!

P - PRAYER: Gracious Father, help us Lord to humble ourselves and look to the only Name that can save, the Name Christ Jesus! It’s in His Name we Pray, Amen
