Proverbs 21 v. 2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weights the heart.
O – Observation
Who’s the judge? What ever we do or plan there is always someone watching and evaluating. It cold be yourself. You could set goals and see if you achieve them. It could be others that want watch what you do and make comments. All these see the outward appearance of what we have done or accomplished. But God, looks much deeper. 1 Samuel 16 v. 7b, “for the Lord sees not as a man sees, man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” So what should be our source of motivation? It can’t be self, it has to be for God. Our lives must be mirror to reflect God NOT sponges to absorb ourselves. Micah 4v. 5, “For all the peoples walk each in the name of their god, but we walk in the name of Lord our God forever and ever.
