Be Hospitable!!!

Event: Lydia’s Conversion in Phiippi (a Roman colony in the district of Macedonia)

S - Scripture
Acts 16 v. 14a,15 One who heard us was a woman named Lydia. And when she was baptized, with her household, she besought us, saying. "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." And she prevailed upon us.

O – Observation
Hospitality. Webster defines hospitality as, "friendly and generous treatment of guests." Lydia was hospitable. Jesus defines hospitality in Matthew 22 v.39, "And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself." Hospitality is a great ministry. Hospitality is an exercise in being a servant, an exercise in denying self. Hospitality is a reflection of the adage, "and it is better to give than receive." Hospitality is a reflection of Love and God will recognize this. Mark 4 v. 24, "And he said to them, 'Take heed what you hear ; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given to you."

A - Application
Am I being hospitable?

P - Prayer
Jesus, Help me to reflect your love by being hospitable. Love Will
