Event: The Believers Prayer
Acts 4 v. 33 And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
O - Observation
Death defying. Requires confidence in what you are doing. That's what the apostles were doing. Think about it the actuality of Jesus brutalization, physical suffering and death, was still very fresh. The players involved in this act were still very much around. Yet, knowing what happened to Jesus, they were BOLD in proclaiming his message of forgiveness and that He was the only way to Heaven. This was so because of the Great Power and Great Grace that was upon them all. The Holy Spirit filled them with the Power. He helped them to see past the physical abuse and death that would be inevitable, to see the second half. Jesus resurrection. Eternal life.
A - Application
Do you realize that the same Power, same Holy Spirit is with us today?
