S
- Scripture
Proverbs 29 v. 1 He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck will suddenly
be broken beyond healing.
O - Observation
Your reaction to discipline determines your fate. This Proverb addresses what
happens if you ignore discipline. What happens when your pride, your
stubbornness catches up to you. Broken beyond repair. Romans 11 v. 20b - 21,
"So do not become proud, but stand in awe." IN the end, you reap what
you sow. If you ignore the advice of the wise, as some point you will pay the
price. Think about the warnings of Jesus. Revelation 22 v. 14-15, "Blessed
are those who wash their robes that they may have the right to the tree of
life... Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and fornicators and murders and
idolaters and everyone who practices falsehood. Which leads to Matthew 24 v.
44, "Therefore, you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an
hour you do not expect."
A - Application
Am I fighting reproof or am I learning and changing from it?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Help me to learn when reproved. Love Will.
