I Have Redeemed You

S - SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 44:22I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me for I have redeemed you.

O - OBSERVATION: These are the words of the prophet Isaiah as inspired by God to His people the children of Israel. It’s in a section of scripture where Isaiah writes that there is no God apart from the God of Israel, he is trying to convince the people that idol worship is futile and it very definitely is! The idols we may worship, our jobs, home car, and money are as futile today as the idols of Israel. The words of V 21 are as true today as they were then. He, the Lord has made us, we are His servant, He will not forget us when we return to Him, in fact He has redeemed us!!

A - APPLICATION: Our sins have been swept away like the mist by the morning sun. Our sins have been erased by the Son of God, who redeemed us with His Holy Precious Blood. In Isaiah 1:18, it says, “though our sins are like scarlet they shall be white as snow.” Jesus has bought us back with His blood so that we might again be pure before Our Heavenly Father. We are no longer separated from Him but have been made sons and daughters of the Heavenly Father, Galatians 4:4-8. When the devil tries to fill you with guilt from an old sin, simply tell him, get behind me satan Jesus has redeemed me, I belong to the Father!!!

P - PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help us to always remember, by the blood of Jesus we are Your redeemed children! In Jesus Name, Amen
