Guard your Destiny

S - Scripture

1 Timothy 6 v. 20-21  O Timothy, Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the Godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards the faith.

O - Observation

Guard your destiny. Jesus died and rose again so that we may spend eternity with him. Accepting and acknowledging and believing that this is true determines your destiny. It determines that your are a child of God. However, Satan wants nothing of this. He wants to Kill, Steal and Destroy. So we need to defend against this. Ephesians 6 v. 16, "Take the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one." However it is critical that we grab the impenetrable  shield and not the paper or wooden one. Altering what is true, what we believe, changes the composition of our shield, which allows flaming darts to burn our shields.
