Recognize the Source of your Blessing

S - Scripture

1 Timothy 6 v. 17 As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God who richly furnishes us with everything to enjoy. 

O - Observation

Recognize the source of your blessing. Americans as a whole are a ton wealthier than other countries. Our base level standard of living is definitely higher than the people of Honduras. For this we need to be thankful to God for furnishing us with this. We need to recognize that it is a Gift from God. Psalm 24 v. 1, "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein." God moves with intentionality. He allows our status. Our riches, our worldly foundation can be gone in an instant. If we understand our source, we can say as Job did in  Job 1 v. 21b, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away: blessed be the name of the Lord."

Do I recognize all that I have is a blessing from God?

P - Prayer

Jesus, Help me to be humble and thankful for what I have.  Love Will.
