S – Scripture
Proverbs 22 v. 13 The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!”
O – Observation
What’s your approach to life’s challenges? We all recognize the “lions” that are in our “streets”. Are we afraid of them? When facing or “lions” we have two choices; hide from them, avoid them or get out of the house and work to solve how to conquer the “lion”. This Proverb clearly encourages us to do the latter. This is not that we should be fearless, but that we should have respect for the “lions”. We need to study our problems, make a plan and then execute the plan. When facing our “lions” we need to remember the words God told Joshua. Joshua 1 v. 9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Wow!!
A – Application
What is my approach to the “lions: in my life?
P – Prayer
Jesus. Help me to be strong and courageous when facing life’s “Lions”. Love Will.
