S
- Scripture
Proverbs 30 v. 15b-16. Three things are never satisfied; four never say
'enough'; sheol (the grave), the barren womb, the earth ever thirsty for water,
and the fire which never says "enough".
O - Observation
So what satisfies? This proverb talks about what doesn't satisfy. Death, the
end of life, it may be avoidance, but never satisfies. A barren womb,
representing dreams, hope fulfillment dashed. The land, must have water to
sustain life. So what does satisfy? What does not disappoint? Isaiah 58 v. 11,
"And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your desire with
good things, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered
garden." The key word of satisfaction is Always. 2 Corinthians 2 v. 14a,
"But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph."
A - Application
Am I satisfied or not? What is the source of my satisfaction?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Thank you for always being there for me. Love Will.
