S
- Scripture
Proverbs 30 v. 29, 30, 31 Three things are stately in their tread; four
are stately in their stride: the strutting cock, the he goat, and a King
striding before his people.
O - Observation
The security of wealth and power. As I look as the last three things, I wonder
what strikes me about these, what do they have in common? All three preside
over their land, their area of the field or barn. So it should be with us as
Children of God. He has given us wealth and power. Our wealth can't be
destroyed. Matthew 6 v. 20, "But lay up for yourselves, treasures in
Heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in
and steal." We have been give this great wealth, 1 Peter 1 v. 4, "and
to an INHERITANCE which is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in
heaven for you." Finally, God gives us Power. 2 Timothy 1 v. 7, "For
God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of Power and love and
self control.
A - Application
What am I basing my security on? Things of the earth or of heaven?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Thank you for the security that you provide me. Love Will.
