Event: Paul is Arrested
S – Scripture
Acts 21 v. 37 As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he said to the tribune, ‘May I say something to you?” And he said, “Do you know Greek?”
Asking the question. A question always has a point. Webster defines question as, “A sentence that asks for information.” And information is defined as, “Data, facts.” A question is always about learning. The only question is, who’s doing the learning. It’s either the person asking the question, or it a learning tool for the people being asked the question. So we need to follow Paul’s lead, even when he’s being brought to the barracks, instead of arguing, he asks a question. Paul’s always had good questions. A key question that he asked is found in Galatians 3 v.2, “Let me ask you only this: Do you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?”
A - Application
Am I asking questions to help spur the learning of Jesus?
P – Prayer
Jesus, Help me to use the tool of the question. Love Will.
