Event: Paul’s Arrival in Jerusalem
S – Scripture
Acts 21 v. 17 When we had come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
O – Observation
Joy. Hospitality. Unity. This verse reflects exactly how we need to live our lives. Receiving, loving, caring fellow believer with joy. (Even the EGR's (Extra Grace Required.) I'm sure my hyperness puts me in the EGR group - so thanks!!! Why? Because we are family. And family sticks up for each other. 1 Timothy 5 v.8, "If anyone does not provide for his relatives, especially his own family, he has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." In today's verse, they received Paul and his companions. They welcomed them into their homes, their lives. We need to be welcoming. It creates security. Hospitality is an amazing blessing to those being served. Webster defines this as "Friendly and generous treatment of guests." Sounds like a solid way to live out your Christian life.
A - Application
Am I being hospitable?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Help me to ALWAYS be welcoming. Love Will.
