Put your energy in the right thing

S - Scripture     

Matthew  21 v. 10  And when he entered Jerusalem all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this?"     

 

O - Observation    

Commotion, Activity, Energy. That's the collimation of events as Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem. There were crowds singing praise to Jesus. They gave him the "green" carpet welcome. (Palm branches on the Road) I think about the political season of the Presidential elections. Lots of fanfare, lots of energy and activity. Lots of people putting their faith and hope on their candidate. Hmmm... Is there the same commotion, activity and energy being placed on the one who saved the world? Back then there was, but it was shallow (couple days later they were saying to crucify him.) The city wanted to know what the commotion was all about, but they didn't listen.

 

A - Application  

How am I welcoming Jesus into my home, my city? Am I jacked about him, or taking a wait and see approach?

 

P - Prayer      

Jesus, Blessed are you who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the Highest!!   Love Will.
