You get what you earn

S - Scripture    
Proverbs  10 v. 14, 16  Wise men lay up knowledge, but the babbling of a fool brings ruin near. The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin.

O - Observation

You get what you earn. Wise men earn knowledge and life. Fools earn ruin and sin. The words from Hannah, the mom of Samuel, when she found out she was with child (Samuel) after being barren for many years, reflects a wise man. 1 Samuel 2 v. 2-3; "There is none holy like the Lord. There is none besides thee; there is no Rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth, FOR THE LORD IS A GOD OF KNOWLEDGE, and by him actions are weighed." We can be wise by fully relying on Jesus as our Lord and Savior. By his death we are saved. That knowledge is the key to life. Really, Romans 6 v. 23 sums up these verses quite well. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

What wages am I earning?   

P - Prayer     
Jesus, Thanks for the free gift of Life. Help me to work to share that great news with everybody. Love Will.
