The Importance of the right foundation

S - Scripture     

Matthew  7 v. 24  Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the Rock.  

O - Observation      

Foundations. If a house is built on a good foundation, then it can weather the storm. Jesus wants us to build our

lives on the foundation of his words. He wants us to be wise,. How do we get wise? Proverbs 1 v. 7  “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge.”  And Proverbs 1 v. 33  “But he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread or evil.” Notice also in Matthew 7 v. 25 that the rain fell, and the floods came. So... It’s a given we will have troubles, because Jesus did no say IF, he said it WILL happen. So brace yourself in God's foundation for the troubles of today. 

A - Application    

So ... Am I a wise man?  What is my foundation?    

P  - Prayer    

Jesus,  Be the footings, be the foundation of my life. Help me to weather the storms of life.  Love Will.
