Be an encourager

Event: The Church in Antioch

S - Scripture

Acts 11 v. 23 When he (Baranbus) came and saw the grace of God, he was glad; and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose.

O - Observation
Encouragement. That's was Barnabus did. He knew that life can wear you down. He knew that the world, Satan does NOT want you to be connected with Jesus. So, he encouraged. Webster defines encourage as "giving confidence and support." What better foundation to build your confidence on than on God himself? Our busyness sometimes hides that basic fact. Satan's lies of our self-worth, makes us look down to our feet, vs. up to the cross.  We all can use the encouragement. 1 Thessalonians 5 v. 11, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." Reminding one another that they are special in God's eyes is an important thing to do!

A - Application
Have I encouraged anybody today? Have I reminded them that they are special in God's eyes?

P - Prayer
Jesus, Give me a spirit of encouragement.   Love Will
