Be the Salt of the Earth

S - Scripture     

Matthew   5 v. 13a  You are the salt of the earth. 

O - Observation        

Salt has two main purposes. 1st its a preservative. It saves food. WE as Salt of the earth must be about saving people's souls. Just as we hate to throw away good food, so God hates to have people go to Hell. See 2 Peter 3 v. 9 (The Lord) not wishing ANYONE to Perish. Also, salt adds flavor. It makes the bland taste better. So it should be with us. We may be in bland situations, but what we say or do can add flavor. See Colossians 4 v. 6 "Let your speak always be gracious, seasoned with SALT, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. "

Am I being salty?  Am I more of a preservative or a favorer?

Jesus, Help me to be SALTY for your sake. Love Will.
