Worship the right Thing!

S - Scripture     

Matthew   4  v.  10 Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone Satan! For it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God and only him shall you serve.   

O - Observation       

And him only shall you serve. Back in the Old Testament and Jesus' time, there were lots of Gods. Today, the sheer number of stated Gods may be reduced, but Satan has placed a new God that is much more destructive.

Ourselves. Putting ourselves and our agenda first is self worship. Satan knows about the god of selfworhsip  / pride. The last 2 temptation of Jesus were about pride. Show that your God will save you by jumping off a building and bow down to me and I will give you the world. We need to remember Jesus’s words in Matthew 16 v.26,  “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life?“

Am I serving him only? What are my motivations?          

P - Prayer   

Jesus,  Let all that I do, in work and play be for your glory. Love Will
