S – Scripture
Matthew 25 v. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.
O- Observation
Gifts. This is the beginning of another parable that Jesus uses to talk about the kingdom of heaven and the importance of being prepared. In this parable a man going on a journey gives his servant his stuff to watch while he ‘s gone. Notice that he allocated his talents based upon ability not an even spread. God talks about the gifts of the spirit that he give us in 1 Corinthians 12 v. 4-11, Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, ability to distinguish between spirits, speaking in tongues, and the ability to interpret the tongues. We may not have all of these or perhaps not recognize what we have. It might be small (1 talent), but remember, Jesus says in Matthew 17 v. 20, faith, even the size of a mustard seed can do great things.
A – Application
Am I aware of the Gift God has given me? If not, have I prayed to know what it is?
P – Prayer
Jesus – Help me to use the gift you have given me. Love Will
