S - Scripture
Matthew 24 v. 36 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
O - Observation
Stand Apart. Set aside. Different. Holy. Jesus is telling us in this verse we must be different than the world. We need to turn our eyes and hearts away from the pull of the world, and instead focus on Jesus, the author and perfector of our Faith. In Noah's days, here's what happened. Genesis 6 v. 5: "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth in that every imagination of the thoughts of the heart was only evil continually." Noah, stood apart from those people, even before he build the Ark. Genesis 6 v. 9: "Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation, and WALKED with God." So Jesus uses Noah to reminds us to Stand Apart, to NOT be of this world. BTW - Its apparent to me that today, the wickedness of man is great, much like Noah's day.
A - Application
Am I following Noah's lead? Am I Standing Apart?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Help me to walk with you, to stand apart from the world, just as Noah did. Love Will.
