Remember God's steadfast love

S - Scripture
Psalm 86 v. 5 For thou, O Lord, art Good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on thee.

O - Observation
"and forgiving." One of the key words of this verse. Webster defines forgive as, "not be angry with someone of what he/she did." God has every right to be angry at us. Its in our nature. Matthew 15 v.19, "for out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander." Its not a wonder that God would be angry with us. But yet, the words "and forgiving". My favorite verse that describes God's completeness in forgiveness is Psalm 103 v. 12, "as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgression from us." Given the things I have done, now that's forgiveness.

A - Application
Do I realize and appreciate God's definition of forgiveness?

P - Prayer
Jesus, You are Good and Forgiving. Thank you for your steadfast love.  Love Will
