S - Scripture
Matthew 17 v. 2 And he was transfigured
before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as
light.
O - Observation
It’s interesting to note that Jesus transfigured
himself right after the Pharisees and Sadducees asked for a sign from heaven.
Jesus did not give them any sign, except for the miracles that he has
previously done. If you read the Old Testament, especially Kings, you
will see that prophets did many miraculous things. This could lead to the
thinking that he was another powerful prophet. Jesus would soon show the whole
world that he's more than a prophet when he raised himself from the Dead.
But, in the mean time, for his inner circle, he showed them a sign, He
transfigured.
A - Application
Am I still looking for a sign that God is real? Do
I not believe that rising from the Dead is enough?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Thank you for being God, and Saving
me. Love Will.
