Proverbs 19 v. 22
What is desired in a man is loyalty, and a poor man is better than a
liar.
O - Observation
The foundation of a
relationship. That's what loyalty is. Webster defines loyalty as
"faithfulness to someone", and faithful as, "belief and
trust". Which brings us to the second half of this proverb, a liar
destroys trust, which damages faithfulness and poisons loyalty. Proverbs 20 v.
6, "Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but a faithful man who can
find?" Loyalty is more than just words, it has to to be in deeds and
action. Who is the most loyal and faithful in our lives? It has to be Jesus. He
was faithful to us, even to death on a cross. He has told us that he will be
with us always!!!
A - Application
Am I loyal to those around me?
Am I blessed with loyal friends and family?
P - Prayer
Jesus, Send loyal
friends to me. Help me to be loyal back to them.
