S - SCRIPTURE: 

1John 3:1a How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called CHILDREN OF GOD!

O - OBSERVATION: 

What a beautiful verse of scripture and what a truth that should lift every heart at almost anytime. When the road is tough because of work, lack of work, disease and even death of a loved one, we can always be assured that the Father cares so much He sent Jesus. Gal 4:4,5 At just the right time God sent forth His Son, born of a woman born under the law, to redeem those under the law that we might receive the adoption of sons. We are indeed CHILDREN OF GOD! Not just in this world, but in eternity!

A - APPLICATION: The song: How deep the Father’s love for us,

How vast beyond all measure! 

That He should give His only Son,

To make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss!

The Father turns His face away;

As wounds which marred the chosen one,

Bring many sons to glory.

Because the Father gave His only Son, to bear what we deserved, even death, we are “CHILDREN OF GOD”. Heaven is our eternal home! On this Father’s Day, remember, God is forever our Heavenly Father! Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever! Psalm 136:1

P - PRAYER: 

Oh Gracious Father, You gave Him for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. We can only say thank You for Your Great Grace and for being our forever father. In Jesus Name, Amen
