Be a Peacemaker!

S - Scripture  
Proverbs 15 v. 1, 4  A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. A gentile tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

O - Observation

Think before you speak. We live in a world of conflict. We can either add to the commotion or we can bring some peace.  Jesus said in Matthew 6 v. 9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Sons of God." So how do we get to be peacemakers? Let God in. Colossians 3 v. 16a, "Let the word of God dwell in you richly." The only way to get the word of God in you is to read it and think about it. Ephesians 2 v. 14, "for he is our Peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing will of hostility." Its a special gift to be a peacemaker.

 

A - Application
Am I a peacemaker? Is my words soft and gentle when facing conflict?

P - Prayer   

Jesus, Help me to be a Peacemaker.  Love Will.
