Proverbs 14 v. 29 He who is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
O - Observation
Fuse. This verse talks about
the advantage of having a long fuse vs. a short fuse. I think its interesting
to note, the proverbs does NOT SAY, Never get Angry, it just encourages a long
fuse. We all know people with short fuses. They are no fun and kind of
dangerous to be around. So.... How do we lengthen our fuse? Love. 1 Peter 4 v.
8, "Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers
a multitude of sins." Perspective. Psalm 37 v. 28a, "For the Lord
loves Justice, he will not forsake his saints." Patience. James 5 v. 8,
"You also be patient, establish you hearts, for the coming of the Lord is
at hand."
